As a first year full time teacher, I want to create a safe space where students are seen and heard, where they are able to collaborate and become independent critical thinkers. Students are more likely to be engaged when something is fun and relatable. My students come from low income families, so providing basic materials is hard sometimes. I want to be able to provide for my students, so their families and them don’t have to worry about being prepared at school and being successful. ALL students should be able to have access to a high rigor and quality education.
