As an early childhood teacher, we know that children learn best through play. A light table is a great outlet for discovery learning and play. Our students will be able to discover light, shapes, colors, letters, and numbers along with so many other new concepts. The students will be able to use their imaginations while using critical thinking and meaningful play. A light table will create a great academic foundation for math, literacy, and science, while promoting fun learning centers that are engaging and meaningful for students. As pre-k is the first step in a child's education career it is important to me to make their experience the best it can be. This light table is a great way to do that. Children learn best when they are engaged and using their hands. This light table would provide the experience of active learning the students want and need.
