Time for Kids and Scholastic News will make a huge, beneficial difference in my students' learning. For example, when we are discussing ecosystems, the students will have visual aids along with a contextual article. The children are required to take assessments that are heavily inundated with vocabulary. I want more for my children than writing definitions. I want them to see the vocabulary in context, own the vocabulary through their writing, and be able to discuss the vocabulary while reading an engaging article. It is very important to me to reach all learners while expecting them to learn their scientific vocabulary.
