My students will have new center activities to renew their daily learning experiences. They have been practicing recycling in our room and the wipe-off boards will encourage less paper use. The money activities will help teach our unit, “Be The Change” a play on words for learning how to count coins by 1s, 5s, and 10s, as well as learning how we as first graders can be the “change” to make our world better by giving to different causes. In our classroom, the students are problem solvers and they love new ideas and challenges that the center activities would afford.
