I teach first grade in a creative approach option school that focuses on Expeditionary Learning within a large urban district. My first graders are curious and kind learners, and our learning expedition this year is titled, "Have I Got a Story for You!" We have been studying and learning about the many ways of telling stories, what makes a story a story, different cultural storytelling traditions and having a lot of fun doing all this! I believe that the art of storytelling supports critical literacy and learning skills, and will support a better world for all of us. Thanks for considering supporting the many important and too often unmet and unfunded needs of my wonderful, engaging, smart and kind students!
