STEM activities are the way to get a child to learn in an interactive and fun way and LEGOs SCREAM STEM! With a complete classroom set, we could all work independently to learn about simple machines. Levers, wheels and axled inclined planes, wedges, pulleys and gears. We plan on using the legos to help us define engineering process and design as we build and deIt would make such a difference in our STEM lessons if there was a way we could get our hands on a LEGO set for each of my 28 kiddies! They just love LEGOs and they interact with our STEM projects in a different way when engineering is involved. I have about ten mismatched sets that we share (and when I say "share" I mean "fight over", lol!). Many of the existing kits have been torn apart and are missing many of the important components. Since our school district is struggling financially, as are many of the nation's school districts, we do not have the funding for this type of powerful learning tool. We would be forever grateful if we could somehow get 30 engineering kits to complete an entire classroom set!!!
