My students will learn all about how to read a nonfiction text and how to annotate. Using the requested supplies they will transform into scientific detectives armed with neon glasses, highlighters, and blacklight flashlights. They will break down the text looking for key ideas and details. After reading the article and highlighting key ideas and details we will let the blacklights make all the details POP out at us! Making reading and annotating scientific articles fun and engaging. These supplies can be used over and over with a variety of different articles as well as various activities within the classroom.
