El capibara con botas is an engaging novel designed to be readable for Spanish 1 students. I want to encourage my students to have the opportunity to read books in Spanish and this book would be perfect for them. This book is highly recommended by highly celebrated Spanish teachers all over the country. El capibara con botas has been written specifically with a limited vocabulary but with a situation that is interesting for older students. These books will be a "class set" and used by at least 4 Spanish 1 classes in a Title 1 middle school--approximately 120 students will be able to read this book next year and in the years that follow.
