I teach a population of students that are about 86% at risk for not graduating high school. My students are at about the same percentage for economic disadvantage. These two factors alone give them many obstacles. My school is safe place for many children, while providing academic rigor and emotional stability. They are beautifully resilient and when you can make learning fun and relevant, they come alive in the classroom. I am so fortunate to have these children in my life and am hopeful that the donation of these books will help bless their learning even more.

About my class
