We are teaching our students the importance of character and making positive choices. We have developed a system within our school in which the students caught displaying these desired behaviors will be rewarded with Bella Bucks. They will then in turn have to use these bucks to purchase items from the PBIS Cart (Positive Behavior Intervention Supports) I am seeking assistance with items for the students to redeem the Bella Bucks with. These items range from snacks to actual schools supplies that some of the students may be lacking. This process teaches the importance of making positive choices as well as allowing them to become familiar with dealing with money to purchase items as well as the process of saving to get desired items.
One of my goals as the PBIS Lead is to encourage and motivate the students by rewarding the small wins they experience on a regular basis. Such as making great choices, following rules, or displaying character. It is my hope that with some awesome incentives the students will be motivated to continue to strive for excellence.
