I am honored to teach some of the hardest working students in my district. I am an AVID teacher and I help high school students become prepared for college, careers, and life. Taking my class teaches them about organization, note taking, collaboration, reading and writing. I also help them significantly on college entrance exams like the ACT, SAT and ASVAB. Most of my students are first generation college students with great GPAs and impeccable behavior. They are working towards scholarships that will help them pay for college expenses and take the burden away from their families. My students are AVID students because they want to be able to attend the college of their choice. They work hard and stay focused, even when their peers do not. I am proud of everything they do and everything they are. We would be so happy to have our classroom project funded by Donors Choose.
