Language is the greatest gift we can give to an individual. The ability to learn new information, express wants and needs, build relationships with others…are all essential to our quality of life. Most of us take this gift for granted… but my kiddos do not! For children with complex communication needs, language is much more difficult to access than it is for typically developing children. My students have so much to say! My mission as their teacher is to facilitate their language and literacy development to help them become as independent and expressive as they wish to be! Hands on literacy materials will give them the repeated exposure and practice they need to build up their communicative competence. We will put these materials to tireless use during independent work time, direct instruction centers, and at home practice. The possibilities are endless with a quality resource!
