Microbiology students will get to visit the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Museum where they will have a professional guided tour and learn about the Flu pandemic, bio-hazard labs and levels, and diseases like polio and HIV. They will get to view the new exhibit, By the People: Designing a Better America, which focuses on humanitarian design solutions in the modern world, examining how design is addressing social, health, economic and environmental challenges faced by communities throughout the United States. They will even get to try on the hazmat suits! Being able to leave the classroom for a real-world, hands-on experience is priceless! Please help my students get an experience of a lifetime that they otherwise would not get.
