My students love to have the option of sitting in different areas of our classroom for independent learning activities. The floor seats with backs are going to make our reading hut so much more comfortable for them as they read or listen to books. The carpets will be used during our small group time to help define an area for students to keep game pieces while playing games that relate specifically to the skills we are learning. The small round cushions will be used for various activities including an area for kids to go when they need to be alone. We will also have a low table for the students to sit at if they choose. They will use the round cushions for this table also. I think that when students are able to make choices in seating throughout the day they are able to focus better on their learning activities. I am excited to be able to offer choices in seating to my students!
