Curious, hardworking and unstoppable that's how I would describe my students who thrive everyday in an urban education system. Urban education refers to schools in metropolitan communities that typically are diverse, characterized by large enrollments and complexity, many struggling with growth. Wow, that definition describes my classroom explicitly. Yes, I have a diverse class with skills ranging from high to low. Yes, my class has a whopping number of 33 students who all need individualized experiences and yes we struggle with growth. My students also have few resources to expose them to the world outside their communities. That's where I come in... I create an environment that is conducive to learning. I also care to put in extra work. Now our class needs your help!
