Our first-grade students who participate in this program will leave with a strong base knowledge and excitement for programming robots. Aligning our program with the Arizona state standards for technology, students will focus on the following standards: Strand 2: communication and collaboration, Strand 4: critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making, and Strand 6: technology operations and concept. Students will also work as a team to plan and manage activities and develop solutions to complete a project. Students will transfer current knowledge to learning new technologies and solve real world problems. Students will persevere through open-ended problems. They will communicate clearly and express themselves creatively using a variety of digital tools. Finally, students will use digital tools to connect with learners from a variety of backgrounds and cultures.
