My students are a lively group of third grade students who have recently dived into the wonderful world of chapter books. They are eager and excited to find books involving all of their different interests. Often times I am being begged for "just 5 more minutes" of independent reading time! Our school is truly a second home to many of these students and the teachers have also become second mothers. It is a place where students are encouraged to excel and try new things. At our school we have a program titled "S.T.A.R.T." (Sit Together And Read Today) where students and families are encouraged to sit for a period of time together and just enjoy a book together.
