Our school is a rural, low-income school. Over 60% of our students qualify for free lunch. I usually have more than 20 students in a class. My Kindergarten classroom is small with old furniture. The four tables I have hold 4 students, but I have to squeeze 5 or 6 in to each table. Mobility is limited due to class size versus space. The classroom furniture consist of donated "left-overs" that were going to be thrown away from business, old storage options from our personal homes, or furniture we have built out of our own pockets. Most of the furniture has been repaired by myself or my husband; however, much of it is irreparable. I love teaching Kindergarten and want my students to have fun while learning. We do many activities that require us to be active like hopping, dancing, and conga lines. I need a safe area for my little kiddos!
