With this listening center, my scholars will be able to truly enhance their independent reading experience. Scholars will be able to follow along and listen as they hear the reader read to them. By listening, my students will be able to strengthen their comprehension, fluency, and accuracy in their own reading. This will also help my English language learners as well as my scholars who are below grade level in reading. By following along, they will be able to better recognize and understand the words on the paper. Their reading will “come alive” with the usage of the listening center.
