Through hands-on learning, my students will be able to experience sensory opportunities using a sand and water table. This sensory play supports language development, cognitive growth, and fine and gross motor skills. A sand and water table will enable us to explore basic math concepts such as number recognition, letter recognition, and science concepts in an exciting way. When we are learning about different letters of the alphabet, we will be able to go letter fishing with water and foam letters in the table. When learning about plants and gardens, we will be able to use the table to plant seeds in potting soil or wash produce. This will give the students the ability to play and put their learning to use through these hands-on experiences. I will be able to change out the sensory materials that we are using weekly to aide in the theme and concepts we are learning. There are really unlimited uses for a sand and water table. Your donation will help impact Pre-K student's learning through sensory play.
