The standing desks will make a difference in my class because it will help increase positive behavior. The desks will give students the opportunity to move mentally and physically during instruction. The standing desks will help students stay healthy. Studies have proven that standing can help improve students' health, because sitting down all day slows metabolism, which increases obesity. Having the standing desks will also assist with classroom management in my class. This will help minimize distractions from my students with ADHD, and improve the overall learning environment in my class. Students in my class with ADHD have an issue with moving around during instruction.
