I once read, "Students feel empowered by having some degree of choice and control over their environment"--and to say I was impacted by that statement would be an understatement. In our district, we are often working with students who are dealing with very tumultuous personal lives--and before we can inspire and empower them, we must meet their very basic emotional and physical needs. I am hoping to turn my classroom into a space where my students feel like they have a real choice in their learning.

About my class
