Students are learning about color theory. In this project, students are encouraged to create different variations of color. They need to create five projects that demonstrate various color schemes (e.g., monochromatic, complementary, analogous). Students in general love to color. This will give them a chance to experiment with what they can do, especially when it comes to certain media that they have never had a chance to use to its full potential. Students are given a chance to create a colorful art piece that reflects back to their culture. The main goal for this project is showing their individuality through their works of art. This will enhance their confidence in being proud of who they are as a person and the ability to manipulate the forms of color. They all get to demonstrate their understanding that colors can have multiple meanings.
