Having a carpet for the students to sit on will give them a feeling of comfort. During Literacy and Numeracy center time activities, my students will be able to sit together with their classmates without worrying that their clothes will get dirty and their parents will be upset with them. Students will be able to actively participate and stay engaged without worrying about the floor being dirty and their clothes becoming dirty as well. Being able to sit on the carpet and have circle time will help me to build a stronger sense of community in my classroom, as the students are able to sit side by side in comfort and engage with one another.

About my class
