My students are technically savvy and enjoy exploring new and old technology. We currently have a Califone magnetic card reader and cassette player in our listening center. My students need to be prepared to use a variety of tools to engage in the world around them. The kindle fire tablets will give them the opportunity to learn about various topics. My class would greatly benefit from the tablets by giving them more individualized opportunities to learn. I am planning on implementing the tablets in our reading and math centers. During differentiated instruction I will have reading games available on the tablet to reinforce vocabulary, and phonics skills we learned during whole group. The headphones will keep the classroom tranquil and students engaged in the task at hand.
