During my Food Safety and Nutrition class, students will learn the minimum internal temperatures of food and receiving food from suppliers. Checking temperatures is huge and students being able to practice how it is done is vital. When students are able to do hands on activities, they actual learn how things are done. The students will use the small digital thermometers and candy thermometers in foods labs to make sure the foods they are cooking get to the correct temperature. All other thermometers, like the infrared thermometer, will be used for demonstration uses. Being able to see and test these thermometers, will definitely aid in the learning process for my students.
