This year I am embarking on a new journey. I will be teaching math and science to a bright room of first graders. I would love to have an interactive math carpet to increase the number of kinesthetic activities that I can do with my scholars. This will increase the amount of information that they retain. I have included tablets into this project. Within my math block, I will be implementing different STEAM activities for my students to try. Along with these items, I have requested some fun and exciting math manipulatives and tools. Oftentimes as educators, we forget that part of the students' success is related to their comfort. I have included a floor table in order to allow my kids the comfort of flex seating. To accompany this table, I have include flex seats and a small table top board to enhance small group instruction.
