My second grade students love to listen to books on CD. Our Daily Five schedule includes a time for Listen to Reading, we have a tape player but no working headphones and no books and CD's that can be used to listen to. Having a working listening center would be a great addition to our classroom. My second graders are eager to learn and love to read, by being able to listen to books on CD it will help them become more fluent with their own reading. My second graders also love being exposed to real world events. By incorporating Time For Kids into my classroom my students will be exposed to real world events, and we can incorporate it into all areas of curriculum.
