We just need a few more! We have xylophones and ukuleles, but we do not have enough for an entire class to play all at the same time. This project would allow all students in a class to play a ukulele or xylophone at the exact same time. As a class is learning to play together as a group, change chords and learning about pitch and melodic direction, everyone needs to play. Since we do not have enough to go around, it takes longer to teach a single technique because part of the class learns the objective while the rest sit and then we trade off so that everyone has a chance to play. We could learn so much more in the time that we have if everyone could play at the exact same time. At this point, we do not have funding for items such as these or any other classroom supply. It has taken me 20 years to get what we have! I am believing that this will be faster!
