I have been teaching since 1981 at the same school in a small rural community . I am proud to call them my second family. I eat, breathe, and sleep teaching. The greatest reward that I could receive as a teacher is for a student to come back to my classroom many years later, hug me, and say how much they learned from being my room. I write as many grants as I can so that I can get the newest technology in our classroom. Kindergarten and first grades are the foundation for all the other grades. We have to be able to give them all the "tools" they need so that they will have a successful future in education. Educational quote "Learning is a treasure that will follow its owner everywhere."
