In special education our students learn best through sensory experiences and with opportunities that allow for them to explore concepts through different modalities of learning. The materials I have selected will help to support my special needs K-3 students’ learning skills and objectives through sensory opportunities. Additionally, the social-emotional items will help to teach and reinforce social-emotional concepts that will help to shape their behaviors as well as the choices they make. Exploring these skills sets will help them build self-confidence while practicing these skills. Please help me to give my students their best chance by making learning a meaningful and enriching experience.
