The work we do at my school is based on the philosophical framework of Re-Education or Re-ED. We are a strength based model, and build on our students' interests. We also utilize an ecological approach that supports the child, his/her family, and the community. Our program began 10 years ago, and we are continually collecting data, and reflecting on how we can better meet the needs of our students. One of the 12 principles of Re-ED is, "The body is the armature of the self". This drives my work with kids. I am fortunate enough to have a rich history in Physical Education, Special Education and training in Educational Leadership. Our students benefit from multiple methodologies of teaching and learning. My focus is via Adventure and the Arts. Experiential Learning has a deep and lasting impact on all individuals involved. Thank you for becoming involved in my teaching and learning journey.
