Many of the students at the school come to school as a way to escape the many obstacles they face in the outside world. Many of the students are not able to get the supplies that they need to make science and art come to life. Hurricane Irma has made it even harder for parents to supply the materials that the students need in order to make science and art come together. Our school is a STEAM school which means that science, technology, engineering, art and math are all combined within all subject areas. What this means is that I would like to concentrate on incorporating more STEAM projects into the classroom. Experiments and projects make the students more receptive to learning.
