The students that walk through my classroom door are energetic and excited to know what they will be learning each day because I believe in making learning fun! I will use music speaker to incorporate upbeat music for entering, leaving, and transitions in the classroom. Everything is more fun when their is a beat. The drum will bring our class chants to life. Students will drum a beat to go along with our class learning chants so I can redirect focus when needed and build classroom community! My scholars have a love and excitement for learning but many have short attention spans and are fidgety while trying to focus on lessons so they need to get up and move to refocus. For this reason, I have asked for wobble stools, kick bands and stress balls so the students can experience movement and have something to keep their feet and hands busy with while learning. This will allow them to rise up and reach their full learning potential no matter what their learning style is! Classrooms are full of collaboration and movement. The laser pointers allow students to point out something on the smart board from wherever they are sitting and ask a question or make a comment. It promotes efficiency in the class which means more learning time. The outdoor equipment is needed so the children can con continue their movement outdoors and not just stand around. We have no recess equipment at this time so students end up sitting and talking. I want them to get up and move! They need the fresh air and the chance to run off energy before they go to the classroom.
