My students are young learners with very specific and individual special educational needs. Every day we face challenges and meet small and big goals. Many students can become limited in their ability to cope without sensory strategies that have been proven to support and engage learning in other areas. Special needs students in our special day classroom work toward achieving independence through 5 domains. For example; Functional Life Skills, Domestic Life Skills and Recreational Life Skills. Students using our Happy Sensory Room can have the ability of utilizing all that we offer in the most beneficial way possible. We work on skills within the 5 domains throughout the school year. Our ability to meet students with inclusion of general ed., students with a wide range of abilities. :)
