As part of our unit on DNA, students will break down and extract DNA from strawberries with the possibly of taking home the samples they collected in class. This lab will provide them a grounding experience in learning that all living things have cells with DNA in them. With enough supplies, each student will be able to take their own individual sample home to share their learning with their loved ones. These students need to do real science in a science classroom- these supplies will provide them with that hands-on experience.

About my class
