Le Grand High School is located in the Central Valley of California and services 3 rural communities in a 350 square mile area of productive farmland. LGHS's student body is from largely low income families (over 90% of our students qualify for free or reduced lunches) and are largely identify as Latino (over 95%.) I am the Computer Science teacher (teaching 2 AP programming classes, 2 Introduction to IT classes, 2 CTE Computer Science classes, and am the esports coach. The CTE Technology department (me) tries to provide real world examples to the students of how technology and a technical education can help students to reach their goals as well as in helping them realize what career options exist that they may not have thought of before.
