I currently ask my students to bring their own headphones. Many of my students are not financially able to afford good quality headphones that stand up to daily use. Having headphones will help my students actively participate with our math and reading programs. In a technological world, it is imperative that students have all the technical resources and know-how to complete tasks. All of the programs used in my classes have voice instructions. Additionally, I use the Internet for research projects and also for teaching other aspects of cross-curricular subjects. Having good headphones will enhance their learning experience and cancel out distracting noises in the classroom. A good quality set of headphones will allow each student to hear exactly what is being said to them or read to them. A set of headphones will be left at each computer station and be accessible to all students in all classes. The students will not be embarrassed by having to ask to borrow a set from me or other students. They will all have equal access to the task/technology at hand.
