Being stuck behind a desk shield all day is difficult for most of my Second Graders. Trips outdoors for fresh air and recess are so necessary! With the playscapes still off limits and students needing to be socially distanced, recess isn't the great escape it used to be. Students are still not able share a ball, frisbee, hula hoop, piece of chalk, or even touch each other in a game of tag. Imagine the excitement on each child's face when gifted their very own recess bag filled with equipment/activities to use outside. Pool noodles used instead of hands in tag, sidewalk chalk to set up hopscotch or tic tac toe, choreographing dances with ribbons, skipping rope to learned rhymes, boomerang throwing contests and more!
