These students have been working very hard on their German skills and will use this trip to put them to the test. For many, this is the first time out of the country, which will be a journey in itself. Our kids will become more globally aware and learn a way of life different from their own. They will see things and visit places that have roots centuries older than our own country. In addition, they will become more conscious about how we are as Americans, as we see how Germans live firsthand. The students will live with a host family and go to school with their host sister; experiencing the life of a German high school student. I am certain that the bonds they create and experiences they will have will stay with them for many years to come; as has been the case in all previous years.
