Reading, writing and critical thinking skills are core elements of an English Language Arts classroom. However, the ability to collaborate and clearly communicate with one’s peers is a skill that transcends the seventh grade classroom and is crucial for the individuals to thrive in the professional world. Adhesive white boards for our desks will help students develop their reading, writing and collaboration skills while simultaneously stimulating their passion for critical analysis of texts. Providing a class set of adhesive white boards for desks will provide a creative medium for class discussions with colorful annotations, comments, drawings, etc. to add depth to their engaging activities and minimize waste of paper products, as well as optimize efficiency of classroom management. I hope to use these adhesive white boards as a way to engage and ensure success to my classroom of diverse learners who gain better understanding of texts through reading, writing, discussion, hands on activities and audial learning. It is my hope to spark a passion for textual analysis and writing by engaging my students through discussion-based activities that transform into prepared, written responses based off of the evaluation of different perspectives presented by their peers.

About my class
