These materials will be used by students with mild to severe disabilities in accessing grade-level content. We often use note cards and visual displays of learning on a daily basis, but school-funded supplies are basic-at-best for creative projects. Last year I personally purchased marker sets for projects, and the quality of the markers made for a lot of engagement for projects, and free-time that helped avoid phone usage. We recently got a charitable donation from a community member of Google Chromebooks for our department. The media center is on the second level, and some of our students cannot access the upper floor for safety reasons. I want to support and encourage our students to learn with real-world resources, but the difficulties with small motor functions can discourage some students. I would love to offer headphones, and mice to allow full engagement for student learning on these wonderful Chromebooks. We only have one or two extra mice, and a basic set of headphones that the kids don't like to use because they hurt their ears. Thank you so much for considering my materials as a donation to help my students love and engage in their studies. My goal is always to help my students become as prepared as possible to transition into independent living, as well as becoming successful members of society.
