I will be having students regularly doing sustained silent reading and need a library of historical fiction and nonfiction books for them to choose from. These are the books that I think will have high interest for students to read. I tried to pick a good mix of diverse subjects and authors. I am very excited to get this library up and running and can't wait for the kids to have so many choices for their reading options. I also wanted to give a choice of level so I included middle school as well as high school. I also included some graphic novels. Many studies suggest that reading helps improve many different things including grades but also vocabulary. I also included a space-saving bookcase to house the books.
