We are a 4th and 5th grade classroom of inquisitive learners in a school with a history of educational excellence. Teachers and students have always embraced "learning by doing" in all classes, Kindergarten through 5th grade. Although we are a large elementary school, we make sure to share our knowledge and projects with other grade levels with walk throughs and demonstrations, helping all to learn. As a classroom of gifted students, we also have a keen interest in science and engineering; in particular, we love to use our creativity to explore how things work! In the past we have used soda bottles and pipes to make rockets, household items to make theme park rides, and explored our local estuaries by studying organisms and creating oyster habitats. Finally, we are highly motivated to read fantastic novels! Most importantly, we love a challenge! Exploring science through conducting hands on labs makes our day...
