My students absolutely love coming to physical education. In fact for some of my students it is the only time in the day that they are able to run around. I have several students that do not have the proper shoes that are safe for learning in the gym. Our students are life long learners. In physical education they are learning life long skills. When a student comes into physical education class that is wearing not proper shoes such as boots, sandals or "slides" I have paper gym for them to work on. This is by far the worst part of my job is not letting my students run around and have fun. I have tried to get donations of shoes for students to us if they forget their own but we never have the correct shoe size. If the students can not afford shoes, I will normally just give them one of the donated pairs to keep. With this project I will have a show bin for students that just need to borrow sometimes. However, for those students that can not afford shoes, not due to their own fault, I will be gifting them a pair to keep at school and they will get to keep that pair.
