Hello! As a Talented Theatre teacher at Madisonville Junior School, I have tried to upgrade the theatrical program, and challenge the actresses and actors The exceptional actresses and actors that are in the Talented Theatre program look forward to each and every challenge they are presented. One of their favorite projects is to write their own plays. Once the theme is selected by my superiors, we "brain-storm" ideas and develop an initial script. Then the re-writing classes take place until we have finalized the final script. It is submitted to the school's performance committee for their approval. Once this is finished, we begin blocking, working on developing characterization, body language, costumes, learning lines, and vocal variation. By doing this, the students feel ownership of the script, and are connected with the script development process from beginning to the end. .
