Students learn in different ways. There are many students who need to actually DO it rather than HEAR it and write it, or SEE it on a screen. Virtual dissections can't touch live dissections. My students will benefit immensely from dissections. My students will have the opportunity to dissect and study the organ systems, and the anatomy. Many students do not know the anatomy of their own body, so specimens give them a unique opportunity to experience the anatomy of similar mammals. The pig, earthworm, and rat dissection in Biology allows students to observe organ systems, and how these systems are interconnected. My students will be able to identify the entire anatomy of the rat or pig (Pre-AP), and the earthworm
