Due to the pandemic our school has not had access to the library for almost 2 years. This closure has limited students ability to have reading materials available. Recognizing the importance of pleasure reading, I increased our classroom library tremendously, however, now we need a place to make the books more accessible. With roving classrooms in year round schools, we need a system that can allow us to move the books in and out of the classroom quickly and efficiently. We also have very limited space for storage so rolling book carts will help us maximize the use of the books. The students LOVE preferred reading time and you will often catch them reading independently any time they finish an activity early. The desire to have books in their hands through ease of accessibility is the driving force behind this project. Thank you for your consideration and generosity!
