My students are a group of diverse learners who greatly enjoy and appreciate technology across all areas, but especially reading. Many are uncomfortable reading in front of their classmates because they are not as fluent as others, and many can read a page perfectly but have little understanding of what they just read. Others are fluent, confident readers but have very little motivation to write. With an iPad, I know their motivation and confidence will greatly increase not only in literacy but in technology as well. They are eager to learn and just need that little push and motivation to know they are making progress.
