My students makeup the population of a 1700+ student body of a central Alabama high school. More than 80% of my students will attend college with most of those going directly to four year institutions upon graduation. Most would consider my students to be middle class. This year our school was awarded the Blue Ribbon by the U.S. Department of Education. We are an academic focus school but have students who excel in other areas outside the classroom as well. We are still young school having been founded in 1999 but we continue to grow and excel every year.
